Google has for few years been placing focus on Android Studio, improving the experience for building Android apps for developers. And to press on that focus, the company hasnoted to developers in a blog post that by the end of the year it’ll stop development and official support for Android Developer Tools in Eclipse, including the ADT plugin and the Android Ant Build system.
Android Studio is an official integrated development environment for Android that gives developers wide access to a powerful and comprehensive suite of tools to evolve your app across Android platforms, whether it’s on the phone, wrist, car or TV.
The company says it’ll be transferring the rest standalone performance tools to Android Studio with plans of adding support for Android NDK. Developers can also migrate their Eclipse-based project to Android Studio with some helpful guide from here.
